New Orleans Architecture Series — Volume II: The American Sector

This volume of the acclaimed series from the Friends of the Cabildo focuses on the bustling area of New Orleans presently known as the Central Business District. According to the editors, the book is designed to serve as a handbook for modern-day renovation and restoration.

The primary source for material in the volume was the New Orleans Notorial Archives, which contain thousands of architectural drawings and original specifications of many buildings included in the book. The 256-page volume features more than 500 photographs, including 22 original watercolor drawings in full color.
